Callahan took home Best of Show at the American Advertising Awards in Kansas City, February 20, 2021. Known to most as the ADDYs, the show recognized the video Dear Larry: A Letter to Home as the single piece of creative that excelled above all others. This includes work from all disciplines and agencies within Kansas City and the surrounding areas. Simply put, Best of Show is the best of the best. Dear Larry was also awarded three golds for Online/Interactive (Single Execution), Film, Video & Sound (Advertising Industry Self-Promotion) and Public Service (Pro Bono Online Film, Video & Sound).
“I’m incredibly proud of all the work we submitted this year–even the projects that weren’t recognized. The team has put so much energy towards our ideas and how they’re expressed for our clients. That’s an amazing thing to be a part of and witness for me. But winning Best of Show with content that was created and captured right here in Lawrence with Marc Havener was so special for us,” Matt Slider, Associate Creative Director.
Callahan also took home two Gold ADDYs and a Silver for client MGP. It was a fantastic night showcasing Callahan’s commitment to unifying data and creativity.
